Stuart soars at The Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2018
Last weekend, Sunday 4th February 2018, our Pre-construction Manager, Stuart Wright took part in the fourth Cancer Research UK London Winter Run. This is the UK’s largest mass participation winter event and the largest 10k in London. Records were broken as the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run saw 20,500 runners conquer the cold around the capitals most iconic closed roads.
The event took winter entertainment to a new level as the event venue, Trafalgar Square, was fashioned into a winter wonderland surprise, featuring alpine trees, snowy huts and retro ski dancers. The spectacular course which featured famous London Landmarks, was overwhelmed in atmosphere provided by the famous Penguin Party, Husky High Fives, Live Music and don’t forget, the popular polar bear hugs across the finish line on Whitehall. The wonders continued as runners also experienced a brand new arctic experience as they ran through the ‘Yeti Cave’.
Having last run the Bournemouth 10K in October, this time Stuart beat his time and managed to finish with an impressive total time of 55 minutes and 40 seconds… Well done Stuart!
