Fun in Fordingbridge

Metis Homes were pleased to be able to support local business, Fordingbridge Daycare Nursery for their annual open day. We provided use of our most recent acquisition, land at Burgate Farm for pony rides, heavy horse and traction engine display. The children seemed to have had an enjoyable experience and as always we are very happy to accommodate the local community where possible.

We purchased the field behind the Daycare Nursery as it forms part of a draft Strategic Housing Allocation in the New Forest Draft Local Plan for more much needed new homes in Fordingbridge.

Along with this land we are just about to complete our purchase of the neighbouring property, Burgate Acres, and in total the two properties provide about 7 acres of land backing onto Burgate School.

This will be a significant site for Metis Homes. We are 100% committed to engaging with the local communities in which we build our homes, and look forward to working with the Daycare Nursery and other local businesses, Parish Council and Burgate School during the design and planning application process.
