Metis Homes crowned best small housebuilder at WhatHouse? Awards 2017

We are delighted to announce that we have been crowned Best Small Housebuilder at the WhatHouse? Awards 2017 – the biggest and most prestigious event for the nation’s new homes builders.

We were bestowed the title at today's prize-giving ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. The judges praised the quality, design and range of homes built, plus our market performance. Other judging criteria included: the influence of senior management, staff values, recruitment and training, sustainability initiatives, marketing, home buying assistance schemes, after sales service and customer care.

Having won the Silver Award at last year’s event, we are thrilled to scoop the top Gold prize this year.

Adam O’Brien, Managing Director at Metis Homes, said:

"Winning the Silver Award for Best Small Housebuilder last year was a great honour for all of us at Metis; a recognition of the team’s hard work and of the values that underpin our business. It was also an incentive for us to continue to improve. I am therefore absolutely delighted with this year’s result and have to extend a huge thanks to my team for working hard to make it happen – we will certainly be celebrating this achievement for many weeks to come.

"As a small housebuilder an award such as this is a huge accolade and endorsement for our business. Our objective is always to go the extra mile and we pride ourselves on building a diverse portfolio of bespoke, high quality homes in prime locations – from traditional properties in rural settings to contemporary town centre schemes.

"Likewise, we are committed to building relationships with our staff and partners with whom we collaborate. We firmly believe that a focus on people rather than just bricks and mortar is core to the success of our business."

Founded in 2007 by current managing director Adam O’Brien and Tony Burton, a former board director of Linden Homes and Alfred McAlpine Homes, Metis Homes has gone from strength to strength. With new talent joining the business expanding the team from six employees to 18 in the last two years alone, and maintaining its 100 per cent record in achieving planning permission, Metis Homes is delighted to be leading the way for the small housebuilding industry.
