Metis Homes bolsters its team with triple appointment

We are proud to announce the appointment of three new team members here at Metis, as we continue to enjoy steady growth and look ahead to a robust pipeline of projects.

Alistair Harris has joined the team as Planning Director; Mike Burton as Senior Land Manager; and Sophia O’Grady as Sales Coordinator.

Metis Homes’ continued success was recently validated when we were crowned Best Small Housebuilder (Silver) at the 2016 WhatHouse? Awards. These three key additions to the team come hot on the back of this win and at a time of exciting growth for Metis Homes as a business.

The Metis Homes team has grown from three-strong at our inception in 2007, to almost 20 in light of these new hires. This focus on sustainable growth has allowed us to boost our outputs to around 70 new homes each year across key locations in Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset.

Alistair Harris joins the business from WYG Consultants, where he held an executive role as Director in Planning for many years. Alistair brings with him over 15 years’ experience as a planning consultant with a diverse background in the industry and ample experience leading teams through the development planning process. In his new role at Metis, Alistair will work with Managing Director Adam O’Brien in driving and overseeing all planning activity and seek to maintain our unblemished track record in the planning arena, ensuring a long lifespan for the Metis brand, as we continue to build high quality homes in key locations in the south of the country.

Mike Burton will sit within the Land team. He will use his vast knowledge and experience to advise the team on identifying, sourcing and acquiring land that is in accordance with the types of locations that Metis Homes delivers its developments. With extensive experience, most recently with Churchill Retirement, Mike will work alongside Phil Rosewarne and Adam O’Brien.

Sophia O’Grady is welcomed to the Metis Homes team as Sales Coordinator, bringing with her a wealth of successful agency experience in the property sector, to help drive forward sales and showcase Metis to prospective buyers.

Speaking on these new appointments, Adam O’Brien said: “These are three key appointments for the Metis Homes team at what is an immensely exciting time of growth and success for the business.

“In Al and Mike, we have captured the services of some of the leading talents in their respective disciplines of Planning and Land Acquisition. I have worked for several years with Al during his time at WYG, and his credentials in the planning arena are second to none. In Mike, we have secured one of the most talented young land professionals in the region to add to the high quality Phil Rosewarne already contributes to our land department. Add to this the introduction of Sophia, who is a property professional through and through, and this rounds off a trio of top notch appointments for Metis Homes, positioning ourselves perfectly for our next phase of steady and sustainable growth.’’
